War Thunder Launches 2025 Esports League With New Championship Series
Gaijin Entertainment, the developer behind the popular military MMO War Thunder, has officially revamped its esports ecosystem with the announcement of a brand-new competitive circuit: the War Thunder Championship Series (WTCS).

The War Thunder Championship Series marks the first official professional league in the game’s history, kicking off with its inaugural season in 2025. The competitive circuit will feature four Major events throughout the year, each offering unique gameplay experiences and formats.

📅 WTCS 2025: Majors and Format
Each Major in the WTCS will run for eight days, including:

Open qualifiers (held over two weekends)

Grand Final
All Majors will use a double-elimination format. The top four teams from each open qualifier will advance to the corresponding Major. The first event begins at the end of May.
🎮 Format Variations Per Major
One of WTCS’s most unique aspects is that each Major will highlight different aspects of War Thunder, with changes in team size, vehicle selection, and match rules:
